Written in the Stars
It was Bali, monsoon season. The tour group scattered when the rain hit, but Rafi and Amara both ran toward the temple instead of away from it. They stood under the carved stone archway, watching the rain turn the courtyard into a mirror.
He said the light was extraordinary. She agreed. They talked until the rain stopped, then kept talking until the sky went dark. He missed his flight. She bought him coffee to make up for it.
That was three years ago. Now they're going back to Bali — this time to stay.
