“How We Met”
They met at a private view — the kind where the art is secondary to the conversation. Vivienne was standing in front of a large monochrome canvas, arms folded, dissecting it in silence. Alistair was across the room with his camera, and he photographed her before he introduced himself.
He showed her the image later that evening. She studied it the way she studied everything — with complete, unhurried attention. Then she looked up and said, simply: “You see things.”
